Discovery Day

Discovery Day is a single-site, rotation-based event showcasing several academic schools, programs, centers and departments on the Jackson campus of The University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Discovery Day is designed to expose high school (10^th, 11^th and 12^th grade) and undergraduate students to health care and research careers and the educational programs that lead to those careers. 

Discovery Day is held in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union, located on the east side of the main campus.

There are a limited number of event days and participant slots for each event day. We appreciate your patience as we work to match groups with their preferred dates and accommodate the most student groups possible during the academic year.

We are excited to host high school and undergraduate students from across the region for this career discovery and exploration event during the 2024-2025 academic year! Event dates are listed below:

• Thursday, October 10, 2024
• Thursday, November 7, 2024
• Friday, February 7, 2025
• Friday, March 21, 2025
• Friday, April 11, 2025

Depending on the submission date of this request form, we will notify groups as early as July 10, 2024, regarding the selection of participating groups for the Fall 2024 events.
